Charles Scorer, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Charles Scorer is a founding partner of Accord Nuclear Resources LP. In addition, Mr. Scorer is CEO and member of Accord Nuclear Resources Management LLP, responsible for providing investment and strategic advice to the LP.
Prior to Accord, Mr. Scorer formed Nufcor International Limited (NIL), a U.K.-based joint venture between AngloGold Ashanti Limited and First Rand International Limited. NIL developed into one of the industry’s prominent trading companies participating in the front end of the nuclear fuel cycle. In addition, NIL listed Nufcor Uranium Limited on AIM. Mr. Scorer resigned as CEO of NIL in January in advance of the sale of NIL to an industry counterpart.
Previously, Mr. Scorer was Managing Director of Nuclear Fuels Corporation of South Africa (Pty) Limited, where he was responsible for the final processing and marketing of all South African uranium production.
Mr Scorer holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Natal in South Africa.
Leigh Curyer, Head of Corporate Development
Mr. Leigh Curyer became a partner of Accord Nuclear Resources LP in February 2009. In addition, Mr Curyer is Head of Corporate Development of Accord Nuclear Resources Management (Pty Ltd) Mr. Curyer has worked for over 15 years in the resources and corporate sectors, incorporating all aspects of merger and acquisitions from origination to successful execution. Prior to joining Accord, Mr Curyer worked both in Australia and internationally as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President – Corporate Development for two publically listed uranium companies in Australia and Canada. His uranium project assessment experience has focussed on assets located in Australia, USA, Canada, Africa, Central Asia and Europe, incorporating operating mines, advanced development projects and exploration provinces.
Mr. Curyer is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and holds a BA in Accountancy from the University of South Australia.
